More regulatory reviews of index providers

A regulatory review of index providers by the U.S. SEC seems to have jumped the pond.
Now the IOSCO has launched a consultation looking into the relationship between European asset managers and index providers in an effort to uncover possible conflicts of interest.

The FCA to review index providers

The Financial Conduct Authority, FCA is planning to review competition law among index providers and every single ETF in the U.S. with the word “inflation” in the fund name saw inflows last year. A record number of ETP launches last year and the smallest number of fund closures since 2014.
