Is the ETF market about to double in size?
According to our old buddy Bryon Lake, at JP Morgan, the ETF market in the US is about to double in size in the next 5 years.
He is quoted as saying “I think we’re just on the very beginning cusp of what could be substantial growth”.
That is fighting talk but I like what he is saying and it makes all the sense in the world to me. But if that is going to happen in the US over the next few years, can we assume Europe and Asia might follow suit?
Maybe not as the same pace but the direction of travel is clear for sure.

From Behind the Desk:
Last week in Miami was what some might call the Oscars of the ETF industry when the great and the good gathered for the Annual “Exchange” conference in South Beach.
The vibe was certainly Miami cool and a lot different to the more formal atmosphere you experience at European events.
Not sure we could live in Miami though as a $40 burger and $15 croissant is a bit out of our league.
